Optical Character Recognition (OCR) can be used to retrieve full-text information from paper documents. Words in scanned documents can be read very accurately using OCR software. The literature shows that OCR accuracy can be increased by using more sophisticated image pre-processing techniques. Image enhancement is crucial for improving the discernment of image information by humans and providing accurate input for image processing methods. Employing cutting-edge image enhancement methods may significantly increase the precision and comprehensiveness of typewritten text recognition systems. Even though OCR software has advanced significantly in recent years, recognizing typewritten text can still be difficult because of various problems, such as inconsistent font sizes, uneven spacing, line breaks, and image deterioration.
