Phytochemicals have been incorporated into human diet and life since the genesis of human beings and civilization including herbal treatments. This coevolutionary interaction of plants and people has resulted in humans’ reliance on food and medicinal plants as sources of macronutrients, micronutrients, and bioactive phytochemicals. It is a well-known proven fact that phytochemicals have long been recognized to possess many properties, including antioxidant, antiallergic, anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antiproliferative, and anticarcinogenic. Plants play an important role in human beings from the past to the present. Healing with plants is one of the indispensable treatment methods since the existence of humanity. The practice and prescription of plants for health care by humans dates back to the ancient time . Potentilla reptans is one of the highly valued wild habitat herbals incorporating significant medicinal prescriptions, which are often practiced in Manipur, India. Further, the species Potentilla reptans (Rosaceae) is cosmopolitan within the tropics and subtropics, with some species extending into the temperate regions.
