All economic endeavors can be categorized into three main groups: primary, secondary, and tertiary. Primary activities encompass sectors like agriculture, fishing, forestry, and mining. Secondary activities involve manufacturing, processing, and construction. Tertiary activities, which constitute the service sector, encompass a vast array of services and distribution channels. The service sector is immensely diverse, spanning industries such as banking, transportation, insurance, communication, education, employment, healthcare, legal services, accounting, tourism, hospitality, and information services. Some services are rendered on a nonprofit basis, such as education and healthcare, while others operate on a commercial basis, including hotels, professional consultancy, and legal representation.
