Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a crucial role in many economies, including Ghana’s. The study’s focus on how entrepreneurial orientation impacts organizational resilience in SMEs has direct implications for practitioners and policymakers. It offers valuable insights into how SMEs can enhance their resilience, which is crucial for survival and success. Entrepreneurship and organizational resilience are two crucial areas of research in the field of management and organizational studies. While entrepreneurship is concerned with the creation and growth of new and existing ventures, organizational resilience focuses on the ability of organizations to adapt and recover from disruptive events. Despite their apparent differences, both fields share a common goal of enhancing organizational performance, success and survival. The study identifies absorptive capabilities as a mediator between entrepreneurial orientation and organizational resilience. This finding is crucial as it emphasizes the importance of an organization’s ability to assimilate and utilize new knowledge for resilience, which can be a critical factor for SMEs in dynamic environments.
