This paper presents a call to action to actualize the Uganda Wildlife Research Agenda 2020/2025. The agenda was developed with four thematic areas that include Wildlife Monitoring and Evaluation, Climate change, Extractives and cross cutting issues. Each of them has various subthemes that were identified as critical areas for research to inform conservation interventions. Analysis of the state of data and literature on each of the subthemes has found that there is no currently available database for each of the subthemes except climate change. Also there is no available comprehensive up-to-date literature on each of the subthemes. What is available are scanty reports and journals articles for specific geographical areas in Uganda on a few wildlife species. This paper implores the stakeholders listed in the wildlife research agenda to consolidate efforts, create and keep an up-to-date wildlife data base comprised of data on each of the subthemes of the national wildlife research agenda.
